My Art Process
The physical process of creating my Artwork is exciting because you never know what you are going to get.
See images below for some slow creation and commentary.

Cut and Tear the Strips
I begin with large sheets of 100% cotton Italian paper. It is stunning paper with a beautiful texture and the ability to hold colour.
I create long strips with torn and straight edges.
Choosing the Colours
This is where the real fun begins. I use acrylic paint to achieve the colour vibrancy I need. The colours change each time I create.

Painting the Strips
It's a messy job but someone needs to do it. With apron on and table protection in place I begin to design my spiral colours. You never know what you're going to get in the end and that makes the whole process so fulfilling.
Time to Dry
Each strip is then hung out to dry in the sunshine and wind. They develop the colours they will carry with them in their transformation

Spiral Time
this step allows me to see the magic happen as I hand spiral each strip of paper. I choose different lengths to vary the size of the spirals themselves.
